Not wanting to offend anyone but there are still quite a lot of new bloggers out there or ‘would be’ bloggers who are struggling with the language of blogging, all those new words – so for them – RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”.

Of course it’s imperative that you prepare for your big move – it can take just about any time (depending of course on the number of posts, comments etc you have on your blog) from 5 or 6 minutes to half an hour or more.

Either want to or need to move? Want to move your current blogging site to WordPress or to a new Host or into a different account than the one you now have it on? Well, you’re in luck because with the tools and know how that WordPress provides doing so is neither hard nor complicated.

You need to be aware that not everyone agrees with the necessity to upgrade with WordPress, especially the necessity to upgrade with each Version. Some people feel its more trouble than its worth and don’t see the advantage. There reaction can be as concerned as “oh no not this again” when they see that small message on their Dashboard that there is an Upgrade available.

As you know we’ve stressed already that you should back up your site and database ALWAYS ALWAYS before an upgrade. Otherwise how often should you back up?

For starters that depends how often you blog, how would you feel if your database was corrupted and/or lost and how often you want to do it – but this third point is the least important of all. Sometimes we must do things we don’t want to do or feel like doing.
